Ironically, people spray pesticides on crops to protect them from pests that can damage their productivity, but these chemicals are also responsible for killing bees, which would benefit most of the same crop. Pesticides – Paralyze the insect’s nervous system and may kill instantly, but surviving contact with bees can frustrate and forget how to find their way back to the hive. It is good news that such pesticides are already banned in the European Union, but there is still a long way to go to prevent this threat to bees.
